Our Story
A Calmer Path Towards Understanding Retirement
Sereva was founded on a simple belief: that people approaching retirement deserve clear, honest information — not a sales pitch.
Back to HomeWho We Are
Founded to Fill a Gap Nobody Was Talking About
Sereva grew out of a straightforward observation: many Malaysians approach retirement carrying a folder of documents they have never properly read, and a set of questions they are unsure how to ask. Official bodies provide reliable guidance, but the path to that first appointment can feel overwhelming.
We were set up to help people bridge that gap. Not by advising them on what to do with their funds — that is the proper domain of licensed practitioners and official bodies — but by helping them understand the general landscape, organise their records, and walk into those official appointments feeling prepared.
Our sessions are delivered in plain English, adapted to the Malaysian retirement context, and free from any pressure to buy anything. We are an information and organisation resource, nothing more and nothing less.

What Guides Us
Our Mission and Values
Mission
To make reliable retirement information accessible to every Malaysian, in language that is clear, fair, and free from pressure or conflict of interest.
Transparency
We are explicit about what we do and what we do not do. We share information; we do not recommend, manage, or advise on personal financial decisions.
Respect
We respect where each person is on their journey. Sessions move at your pace, questions are welcomed, and no topic is considered too simple to ask about.
The People Behind Sereva

How We Work
Our Standards & Approach
We hold ourselves to a clear set of principles that keep our participants safe, informed, and in control of their own decisions.
No Conflicts of Interest
We receive no commissions, referral fees, or payments from any financial institution, product provider, or official body. Our fee is the session fee — nothing else.
Data Privacy
Any personal information you share with us is used only to facilitate your session. We do not share participant details with third parties, and we store records securely.
Up-to-Date Content
Our materials are reviewed regularly to ensure they reflect current general information about the Malaysian retirement landscape and the relevant official bodies.
Open Communication
We encourage participants to ask questions, push back on anything unclear, and take as long as they need. Good understanding is the only outcome we are working towards.
Participant-Centred Delivery
Session content is adapted to the specific backgrounds and questions of each group. We do not deliver a fixed script — we respond to what is actually useful to the people in the room.
Clear Scope of Service
Every participant receives a written scope document before their first session, confirming what our programmes cover and what they do not. There are no surprises about the boundaries of our work.
Our Expertise
Retirement Education Built for the Malaysian Context
Sereva operates at the intersection of adult education and retirement transition support. Our work is grounded in the specific frameworks and institutions that Malaysians encounter when they begin thinking seriously about leaving employment — the official bodies, the types of documents involved, and the general processes that apply in this country.
We do not work from generic templates. Our sessions are built around the questions that participants in Malaysia actually bring to us: what different statement formats mean, how to read a contribution summary, which organisation handles which type of query, and how to prepare the right questions before an official appointment.
Our document organisation workshops take a practical, hands-on approach. Rather than explaining abstract systems, we sit alongside participants as they sort through their own papers, creating a clear personal folder that they control and can use independently long after the session ends.
We believe that feeling prepared is not a small thing. People who arrive at official appointments with their documents organised and their questions thought through get more from those appointments. That is the straightforward value we aim to deliver.
